What Osteopathic treatment will you have?

 

There are two main categories of osteopathic technique, 'structural' and 'cranial'.

 

Structural

 

This may involve manipulation of the body tissues to restore mobility. This may include massage, manipulation, movement of the joints and stretching, if appropriate.

 

Cranial

 

This is more gentle and useful for deep seated problems.

 

Sometimes a combination of both will be an effective form of treatment and, on occasions, acupuncture and other treatments such as ultrasound is offered to help musculo-skeletal problems.
