Chronic Pain Treatment

 

We are now able to offer medical consultations for those with chronic painful conditions.

 

Consultations with Dr Michael Kocan, formerly Consultant in Chronic Pain Medicine at Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny for 10 years. Dr Kocan is a fully registered medical practitioner (Mb BCh) and a practising specialist in Anaesthesia (FRCA). In addition, he is a specialist in Chronic Pain Medicine and possesses the Diploma of Fellow in the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

 

Dr Kocan is no longer able to offer appointments in a NHS pain clinic but is available for private consultations and simple treatments. A referral letter from your General Practitioner is not esential but would be helpful.

 

Treatments available include:

    Acupuncture

    Botulinum toxin injections

    Issuing of private prescriptions where apporpriate.

Cost of consultation is £120 for up to 30 minutes. Any prescription issued as part of a consultation will incur no charge. Repeat prescription are £12.50. Charges for other treatments will be advised prior to treatment proceeding.

 

In accordance with General Medical Conucil requirements, your General Practitioner will be kept informed of your treatment unless you request otherwise.
